education, microfinance, and water
and sanitation, Nuru’s Healthcare
Program aims to improve maternal
and child health by providing access
to tools, changing mindsets and increasing skills We train Field Officers to conduct
home visits to help families adopt
behaviors that help prevent common
maternal and child health problems. We are looking for a Training
Manager to fill the vacant position in
Kuria West District and report to the
Healthcare District Manager. Specific Responsibilities include: Lead training for Field
Officers using the
Healthcare Curriculum
that focuses on
diseases, how to
assess a household, how to assess barriers
to practicing healthy
behaviors, how to
advise the family how
to change their
behaviors, and how to use tracking and
reference materials; Assess trainees’
learning, training
materials etc. using pre
and post training
evaluations; Adapt curriculum and
other training materials
based on program and
community needs; Develop curriculum for
refresher trainings,
facilitator instruction
modules and participant
manual; Work with Field
Managers to identify
and address training
needs of the Field
Officers; Conduct continuous
capacity building
trainings for all staff on
the healthcare team; Organize trainings in
future areas of
programme expansion; Represent Nuru
Healthcare at Nuru
Training Manager
Forums; Report to District
Manager; submit
training reports with full
and accurate
information on time;
and Additional roles as
assigned by the
supervisor. Qualifications: Male or female aged 18
years and above Completed Bachelor's
degree from an
accredited college or
university in a Social or
Behavioral Science,
Public Health or related field. Advanced computer
skills - Excel,
PowerPoint, Word,
Internet, etc. At least 2 years of
experience training
adults Proven track record of
writing effective
curriculum and
facilitating adult
learning Speak fluent English
(mandatory), Kiswahili
(mandatory), and
Kikuria (preferred) Possess knowledge and
skills in Community
strategy/ community
health Demonstrated ability to
operate in both office
and field setting Trained in facilitation
and training techniques At least 2 years training
experience based on
job description above Experience working
effectively in a team
