Sales Executive(Fertilizers) Job in Kenya

They are looking to venture and into the Kenyan market and are searching for highly motivated and self-driven candidate to fill this position in the new branch in Nairobi: 


Sales Executive(Fertilizers)
Reporting to the Business Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for create new customers and input customer complaints in SAP as well as ensure closures.

Principal Accountabilities: 
  • Utilizing SAP System for issuing contracts, quotations, proforma invoices and order issuance. Monitor the order status on the system to ensure the safety of further processes.
  • Sending the vessel nominations to the customers and getting confirmation for the nominated vessels from port authorities.
  • Close coordination with the logistics department to monitor status and itinerary of vessels and updating the movement of the vessel as well as the ETA’s to the customers.
  • Periodical storage tanks stock control to monitor the material releases. Ensuring the order closing by logistics department.
  • Supportive functions for sales reports preparation.
  • Regular Customer visits in the region.
  • Checking the customer’s account balances for overdue amounts in the system. Ensuring the closure of the final invoices.
  • Perform any other related activity as requested
Qualifications, Experience and knowledge:
  • University degree / Diploma in related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ sales and marketing knowledge to implement sales principles, strategies related to industrial products
  • Must have previous experience in the fertilizer or agricultural industry
  • Strong networks in both the fertilizer and agricultural sectors
  • Excellent Command of English. (written and spoken)
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong innovation and initiative skills.
  • Ability to analyse and solve problems.
  • Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements.
  • Ability to lead, train and coach commercial assistants.
  • Ability to run and manage effective meetings and presentation skills.
