The Applicant must be born again and a active member of a local Church. Job Purpose: The incumbent will assist in implementing public relations strategies and plans for University. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Manage the PR planning process for PA Planning for PR and Communication programmes with the Public Relations an marketing committee; Manage the University media list, ensuri is updated and correct Provide guidance for all PR activities i.e. assist in putting together a press releas strategy around an event/story, briefin photographers Identify and institute PR training – both internal and external In liaison with the Marketing Officer impl the University PR, marketing and recruit programme which includes generation of referrals for New students, corresponde with prospective students, high school relations, and outreach activities; Any other related duties as assigned by supervisor. Minimum Requirements: A Masters Degree in Communication, an first degree in either Public Relations, Journalism or Communication; At least five years’ public relations expe in a University setting will be an added advantage; Very strong writing and editing skills (pr releases, feature articles, opinion editori Broad based exposure to all skills areas including presentation, media relations, advertising, internal communications and Paid up member to the Public Relations Society of Kenya (please attach certific Effective Interpersonal skills and communication skills; Ability to work independently; Desktop Publishing skills will be an adde advantage; Understand and adhere to the PACU Statement of Faith.
