Description
Indigo Telecom Limited, a leader in Satellite communication solutions is looking to fill the following position; VSAT Installer
Education, Experience and Skills
• Degree or Diploma in Telecommunication or related field
• CCNA, Indirect, Wimax Industry training or any relevant certification desirable.
• 2 years experience in installation of VSAT and wireless broadband, supports troubleshooting
• Candidate should have experience in LAN & WAN.
• Knowledge and ability to support windows, Linux, TCP/IP and cab ling standards.
• Knowledge of router, switches and firewalls (Preferred Cisco), mail server, DNS, VOIP gateways, proxy servers, windows System, Linux administration, VSAT modems. Fiber and wireless broadband
• Extensive experience in installation, troubleshooting, repair and connectivity
• Ability to perform systems simulations and analysis to support and validate the design of communication systems and networks
• Proven ability to design, deploy and troubleshoot RF based networks
• Excellent Customer and communication skills and ability to interface with clients, vendors and third party installers.
• Ability to work independently
• A creative thinker and a team player
• Must have a Valid Passport.
• Willing to Travel on short notice
Responsibilities:
• Install and maintain VSAT connections.
• Write technical procedures and guidelines.
• Manage technical escalations.
• Perform all work associated with testing, troubleshooting, alignment, modification and operation of the relevant network equipment
• Interface with clients and vendors for network support and repair activities
• Must be able to work at height on towers and have proven experience in installation.
