Our client in FMCG industry is
seeking to recruit for aggressive
Area Business Manager in coast
region to drive their sales in meeting
organizational goal.
Key Responsibilities
Accomplish regional
sales human
resource objectives
by recruiting,
selecting, orienting,
training, assigning,
scheduling, coaching,
counseling and
disciplining
employees assigned
to key accounts;
communicating job
expectations,
planning, monitoring,
appraising, and
reviewing job
contributions;
planning and
reviewing
compensation
actions; enforcing
policies and
procedures.
Achieves regional
sales operational
objectives by
contributing sales
information and
recommendations to
strategic plans and
reviews; preparing
and completing
action plans;
implementing
production,
productivity, quality,
and customer-service
standards; resolving
problems; completing
audits; identifying
trends; determining
system
improvements;
implementing
change.
Meet regional sales financial
objectives by forecasting
requirements; preparing an annual
budget; scheduling expenditures;
analyzing variances; initiating
corrective actions.
Establishes regional sales objectives
by creating a sales plan and quota
for each area in support of national
objectives.
Grow revenue streams by
counseling regional sales
representatives; building and
maintaining rapport with key
customers; identifying new customer
opportunities.
Recommend product line by
identifying new product
opportunities, and/or product,
packaging, and service changes;
surveying consumer needs and
trends; tracking competitors
Implements trade promotions by
publishing, tracking, and evaluating
trade spending
Continuous professional
development by pursuing
educational opportunities; reading
professional publications;
maintaining personal networks.
Meeting sales, revenue and market
share expectations as mandated by
the regional annual operational plan
and related budgets.
Manage client relationships through
all phases of the sales cycle
Responsible for tracking customer
information, forecasts and reports
Organize regular meetings with
sales representative and
merchandisers to ensure effective
information flows and team work.
Evaluate, recruit, appoint and
manage performance of distributors
within your regional as mandated by
management
Ensure effective management of the
value chain within your region in
line with organizational objectives
Liaise and coordinate with all
stakeholders to ensure efficient
delivery of products to distributors
and key accounts within your region.
Liaise and coordinate with all
stakeholders to ensure stock levels
and share of shelf in the trade are at
acceptable ;levels and to initiate and
maintain processes that lead to
attainment of this objective
Develop a clear operational plan,
including budgets and execution
timelines for approval by
management prior to making any
commitments to customers and
other stakeholders
Report directly to the National Sales
Manager

Qualifications
Degree in marketing
from recognized
institution and a
masters in marketing
or strategic
management is an
added advantage
5 years working
experience in a
similar position
(FMCG sales a MUST)
Good communication
and negotiation skills
